FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New York, NY — May 8, 2025 — Stars in the Arts, the dynamic initiative founded by New York City-based Jewish artists Lilian Kebudi and Annette Back, announced the successful completion of its latest exhibition, "77 - Time of Growth & Purpose," which took place from May 8-11th, 2025, on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
Building on the momentum of their previous shows, Kebudi and Back continued their mission to transform the pain, trauma, and hope of the Jewish people into a powerful creative force. "77 - Time of Growth & Purpose" brought together a diverse group of Jewish and Israeli artists, each channeling their unique experiences and perspectives into works that celebrated resilience, identity, and the enduring spirit of the Jewish community.
The exhibition featured a wide array of artistic styles, including photography, relief sculpture, mixed media, charcoal, and oil paintings. All works were available for purchase, as well as select limited edition prints.
Demonstrating Stars in the Arts’ commitment to giving back, 25% of all proceeds were donated to the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF).
Kebudi, whose roots span Brazil, Lebanon, and Turkey, and Back, originally from Germany, found renewed purpose in centering their Jewish identity through art since October 7. Their vision for Stars in the Arts is to create a vibrant, supportive community where Jewish and Israeli artists can unite, raise awareness about antisemitism, and foster understanding through the transformative power of art.
"77 - Time of Growth & Purpose" proved to be a moving and meaningful event, offering visitors the opportunity to connect with artists, support important causes, and experience the strength and beauty of art.
