From Memory to Becoming

Hello Jewish and Israeli Artists, thanks for your interest in submitting your artwork for the "IDENTITY" Pop-Up Exhibit & Sale organized by Stars in the Arts.


This theme explores identity as something shaped by memory and constantly evolving. Memory connects us to our personal and collective past, while becoming reflects who we are still in the process of unfolding into.

 

We invite artists to reflect on the space between heritage and transformation—what we carry, and what we are still becoming.

Exhibition will run from June 2nd to June 7th.

Exhibition/Opening Reception:

Tuesday, June 2nd from 5 pm to 9 pm

Gallery Party/Possible Special Event:

Thursday, June 4th from 5 pm to 9 pm

Visiting Hours:

Wednesday, June 3rd:      2 pm to 6 pm

Thursday, June 4th:          2 pm to 9 pm

Friday, June 5th:             12 pm to 4 pm

Saturday, June 6th:           3 pm to 7 pm

Sunday, June 7th:            11 am to 5 pm



Art Drop off: Monday June 1, 10 am -12:00 pm. We do not accept items to be shipped and unsold items to require return shipment. You must have someone in the area drop off and pick up.

Art Pick Up: End of the Show, Sunday, June 7th at 5 pm.


Location: NYC - Upper West Side (location to be disclosed)

Tickets will be sold for this event; selected artists enter for free.


There is a non-refundable fee of $25 to submit five pieces of art.

Once selected, there is a $100 fee to participate.


Stars in the Arts will retain 30% of the art sales (20% of sales proceeds will go to Stars in the Arts to support our activites including the production of the exhibit and 10% will be donated to a Jewish organization.



ARTWORK ACCEPTED:

-Get inspired by the theme. Contemporary, Abstract, Traditional, or Jewish-inspired.

-Accepted mediums: Paintings, Mixed Media on Canvas, Embellished Prints, Collages, and Photography. Wall Sculptures.

-Artwork Size: Artwork that will be displayed on the walls should not exceed 48" inches on the largest side.


DEADLINE to submit: Sunday, May 10th at 11:59 pm.

Artist Submission Policy

Review Process: Our team of curators will review all submissions after the submission's closing date and will reach out to selected artists for further discussion.

Please follow @starsinthearts on Instagram for updates. Unfortunately, due to the high volume of submissions, we are unable to provide individual feedback on declined submissions.


Liability: Please note that we are not an insured entity. While we are going to be most careful and respectful with your pieces, we will not be responsible for any damages. If selected and this is a concern for you, please insure your work privately.

Where do you live?

Please make sure that you the artist or someone you trust will be able to drop off and pick up your artwork at the schedule date and time.
